Episode 5
Chief kept on visiting Nneka from the city and kept on sleeping with her. She already taken it as her fate and also a way she could help her family out of poverty.
Few years later, Nneka was out of school and had also finished her National Youth Service. However, work was hard to come by. She was worried because the same family who wanted her success and because of whom she lost her pride she couldn't help.
Chief stopped coming to her because she had seriously warned him to stay away from her. She was out of school now and believed that once she starts working she would earn and start solving her family problems but finding work wasn't favouring her. Something seemed to be blocking her path in that regard. At the very last stage of her being employed something would happen and she would be disqualified.
She was thinking about Nkechi, her younger sister who was about to write her West African Examination Council. There was no money. She thought of seeking for help from Chief but was scared because of how she talked to him earlier. Little did she know her mother had contacted Chief over Nkechi's WAEC registration.
Her mother called him, pleading with him to help her with her second daughter's registration. He inquired from her about Nneka her first daughter and she carelessly told him she was delaying.
Chief told her to calm down and that he would return to the village soon. Nneka on the other hand had gone to Chief's house to plead with him but on getting there no one was at home. The gate keeper told her that Chief travelled to the village for an urgent meeting. She also decided to go to the village.
