The young general was riding faster than the rest of his men. The army of Oguma from both sides were descending on them. The general and the the prophetess's daughter escaped through the bush path, abandoning the rest of the men that went with the general on the mission. The general realised this for the first time and asked the lady to keep on riding. He drew out his great sword.
"What are you planning to do?" The lady asked
"I'm going back for my men" said the general.
"They will not survive the brutal soldiers of Oguma. Going back is suicide" said the lady.
The general glared at her and uttered, "because of you those good men will die. I did this for the sake of your mother who promised to help our army win the war with Oguma with her spiritual powers. I'm keeping my words and my word is to take you to Ideje; to your mother; to the prophetess" this the general said before kicking the horse. They galloped away.
At their back was screams of the men the general went with as the soldiers of Oguma who heard the sound of the mighty bell and came to the rescue of their king were slicing them with their swords.
