The general from Ideje and the few soldiers he brought with him were killing the guards at the gates of Oguma palace, trying to penetrate to the King's chambers. The guards that brought the daughter of the prophetess out to ease herself were now about to force her back inside and inform their king about the intruders in the palace but the Queen was not ready to go back In there. She had seen the uniform the soldiers at the gates were putting on and knew they were from Ideje and it was either the King of Ideje sent them to rescue her or her mother did. The lady broke free from the guards and made straight to the gate. The guards ran after her.
The young general at the gate and his men had succeeded in killing the gate keepers and were now regrouped to fight the guards pursuing the Queen to the gate. The guards saw this and drew their weapons. The Queen reached where the young general was standing and he shouted, "get down!" The lady fell flat on the ground and the general fired his arrow at one of the guards who fell and struggled for his life as the Queen watched shockingly. The bloody fight started. The guards were few and so the general and his brave men were cutting them down like the branches of a tree.
The King was getting impatient in his chamber. He stepped outside and sighted the bloody but almost silent battle at the gate of his palace. He screamed and his warlords came running out of their chambers. The mighty bell was struck and a thousand soldiers from their nearby camp came galloping towards the palace. The young general knew it was time to run.
"My name is Akadibe and your mother sent us. Follow me!" He said to the Queen who didn't waste time before mounting a horse. The rest of the general's
men mounted theirs and the escape began. Outside the gate, more soldiers of Oguma were blocking all exits.
