She refused to pick the call. I guess that was when the beast in me came back. I stood up, walked away from where she sat and she had to pick the call. Her eyes were on me as she answered the call. I kept staring at her.
"Hello. I'm busy. I will call you back" she hung the call.
I chuckled wickedly and sat away from her.
"Eze. You just asked me to adjust myself and I promised to do that. I can't do it all today. I need time" she explained.
I needed to know the kind of job that her friend found for her. "What kind of job do you do?" I asked and she kept looking at me. "Listen, I'm fully interested to know you more because I care about you already" I said but she still kept quite for a long time before she said, "I deal in children's cloths"
I was confused and she promised to change. I stood up from the seat, went closer to her and tried to kiss her but paused. "It is still too early" I said.
We were together till evening time. She left and called me after she was gone. "It was great being with you Eze. I don't have a child and I'm not into any illegal business. I want you to trust me on these. You are a great friend" she said over the phone.
"And you are amazing" I said with a smile.
That whole night was wonderful as I was all happy with myself. I thanked God for giving me someone that was ready to listen to me, someone who was willing to change for me.
The next time she came was on Sunday. Something strange happened...
